ECOCERT® is an independent organization that conducts inspections and certifications to insure organic integrity. ECOCERT® certifies over 4,000 products worldwide.

The COSMEBIO® or BIO label was created in France in 2002 by natural skincare industry manufacturers to promote ethical skincare and guide consumers seeking authentic natural and organic products.

ECOCERT®, in partnership with COSMEBIO manufacturers, has developed standards describing natural and organic cosmetic products, with the objective of defining a higher quality level to guarantee the use of natural ingredients, respect of the environment along the production chain, and provides consumers with the confidence that safe and healthy ingredients are grown and sourced from organic farming.

ECOCERT® verifies the origin of each ingredient used in a formula to ensure ingredients come from renewable resources, are transformed by environmentally safe processes, and that 95% of the final product is of natural origin. ECOCERT® maintains a restrictive list of synthetically derived ingredients that a manufacturer may chose to use, but cannot exceed more than 5% of the final product. ECOCERT® certifies that any product fragrance is always of natural origin and that all packaging is recyclable.

ECOCERT® regularly inspects manufacturers conditioning and warehousing facilities to maintain certification.

The ECOCERT® certification guarantees that BcomBIO, BcomBIO Homme, So'Bio Rose, Bio'Etic and Bioscience Institut Argan for Men formulas have:
at least 95% natural ingredients, at least 10% organic ingredients (BIO label) or 5% organic ingredients (ECO label), at least 95% (BIO label) or 50% (ECO label) of the plant based ingredients originating from organic sources.
